The invention relates to a method and a device for forming a metallic flat material into a metallic corrugated profile, wherein the flat material is guided between two sets of self-combing toothed wheel work (32,34) belonging to two rotating, toothed rollers (28, 30). In order to set the desired profile height, the axis distance (A) between the rollers can be adjusted and in order to predetermine a profile diameter, the flank clearance between the sets of self-combing toothed wheel work can be adjusted. The invention also relates to a method and system for continuous production of a composite material consisting of a metallic corrugated profile formed with the aid of the above-mentioned method or the above-mentioned device and at least one other flat material which is firmly connected to the corrugated profile in order to form the composite material.
