A cold air fan blows cold air over legs, arms and head so that, at a pre-set constant bath temperature, these parts of the body are cooled down and the blood temperature lowered. Cold water can also be poured over limbs. A cold air breathing mask (5) can also be used. The lower limbs are cooled by cold water poured down a cold-water duct (6). A sealing-sleeve (7) separates the temperature zones.
