<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable apparatus capable of simplifying the management of belongings. <P>SOLUTION: This portable apparatus 10 registers ID for identifying articles to be managed in an apparatus ID/article name table 22b. The portable apparatus 10 acquires the information relating to the article (date, positional information, apparatus ID, article name and the like), and registers the same in an article record data 22c, when the ID for identifying the articles is received from a short range radio communication part 28 in accompany with the movement of a user, and the ID is registered in the apparatus ID/article name table 22b.
