<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic marking method and system, requiring no working on a road surface and facilitating alteration of marking upon alteration, requiring no alteration of means for marking in road repairing, and achieving satisfactory marking regardless of the surface condition of the road. <P>SOLUTION: According to this method and system, a plurality of road marking devices 6 are provided, having an LED module for changing the light emitted from two or more LEDs into substantially parallel rays of light with two or more corresponding lenses. The light emitted from each road marking device 6 is projected on the surface of the road 2 to form two or more illuminating areas 7 at intervals, thereby forming a broken-line marking.
