<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disease marker reflecting Alzheimer's disease and to provide a method for detecting the Alzheimer's disease utilizing the disease marker and a method for screening a drug useful for ameliorating the disease. <P>SOLUTION: A polynucleotide having at least contiguous 15 bases in a base sequence significantly changing the expression level as compared with that of a normal person in hippocampal fibers of a patient suffering from the Alzheimer's disease and/or a polynucleotide complementary thereto are utilized as the disease marker for the Alzheimer's disease. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
