<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape feeder which is compact in structure and holds supply reels of two or more different sizes. <P>SOLUTION: A large number of the tape feeders which pitch-feed the carrier tapes carrying electronic parts are mounted on an undercarriage 20, and a reel housing 23 which houses and keeps the supply reels each wounded with the carrier tape is provided on the undercarriage 20. The reel housing 23 is equipped with a side board 28a on which reel holding support rollers 31a, 31b, and 31c and a reel holding unit 32 are provided. When two supply reels, a large supply reel 30B and a small supply reel 30A, are held, the supply reel 30A is supported by the reel holding unit 32, the supply reel 30B is supported by the support rollers 31b and 31c, and the reel holding unit 32 is reversely turned around a support roller 32c to enable the support rollers 31a, 32c, and 32b to hold the two supply reels 30A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
