<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflector capable of obtaining high reflecting efficiency over wide angles, and to provide a reflective liquid crystal display having a wide viewing angle in all directions and a bright display surface. <P>SOLUTION: On the surface of a reflector 1, a large number of recessed parts 4 each inner surface of which forms a part of the spherical surface are formed continuously and depth of each recessed part 40 is formed randomly within the range of 0.1 to 0.3 μm and pitches of adjacent recessed parts is arranged randomly within the range of 5 to 50 μm and the inclined angle of the inner surface of the recessed part is set within the range of -18 to +18 degree.
