PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of restraining torsion of a rack shaft and capable of supporting the rack shaft at low friction. SOLUTION: This electric power steering device capable of outputting auxiliary steering force by an electric motor is provided with a housing 1, a rack tooth 10a, the rack shaft 10 movable with respect to the housing 1, a pinion tooth 3a meshed with the rack tooth 10a, an output shaft 3 for transmitting the steering force from a steering wheel to the rack shaft 10, and a support device 20 provided in the housing 1 and supporting the rack shaft 10. The rack shaft 10 is provided with a support device guiding surface extending along a longitudinal direction, namely a rolling surface 10b on at least two portions on an outer peripheral surfaces. The support device 20 is provided with a cylindrical roller 23 pressing and rolling on the respective rolling surfaces 10b along directions crossing to each other when the rack shaft 10 is seen along the longitudinal direction.
