PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing corrosion resistant metal base materials which do not contain hexavalent chromium, can be subjected to sufficient adhesion each other with adhesives, and function in an aqueous high temperature environment. SOLUTION: A metal base material is subjected to anodizing in a phosphoric anodizing solution. Next, the metal base material is brought into contact with a tervalent chromium-containing acidic solution which does not contain hexavalent chromium, and coating is carried out. The metal base material subjected to the coating and anodizing and the similarly treated other metal base material can be subjected to adhesion with adhesives, so that composite parts can be formed. The obtained parts exhibit excellent adhesive and corrosive properties. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
