PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording tape cartridge capable of enhancing assembling properties of a shielding member and an energizing member into a case. SOLUTION: The recording tape cartridge is provided with: a nearly rectangular case rotatably housing a single reel 14 around which a recording tape is wound; an opening formed at the case and used for drawing a leader member attached to the end of the recording tape; a shielding member 50 which slides, and opens and closes the opening; the energizing member 56 energizing the shielding member 50 in an opening closing direction; a locking protrusion 55 which is projectingly formed on the inner surface of the case and to which the one end of the energizing member 56 is attached; and a holding protrusion 54 which is projectingly formed in the same direction as the locking protrusion 55 from the shielding member 50 and to which the other end of the energizing member 56 is attached.
