PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure for a long period the stabilization of vibration absorption and surface pressure distribution by a shim by controlling relative movement of shims on the pad side and pressing member side in a laminated shim, thereby stabilizing for a long period a brake noise preventive effect by a laminated shim. SOLUTION: The laminated shim 20 for brake noise prevention is interposed between back plates 12a, 13a of the pads 12, 13 and pressing members for pressing the pads 12, 13 to a disc rotor. In the disc brake, the pressing member presses the pads 12, 13 against the disc rotor through the medium of the laminated shim 20 so as to generate a braking force. The laminated shim 20 is made up of the shim 21 on the pad side and the shim 22 on the pressing member side. The recess 21c is provided to the pressing member side of the shim 21 on the pad side. The protrusion 22a for controlling the relative movement of both shims 21, 22 fitted to the recess 21c to be disposed along the pressing surface is provided to the shim 22 on the pressing member side.
