Point detonation. By applying the hollow charge technique to detonators, with a profiled hollow at the base directed at the main charge, a concentrated effect is achieved which is particularly suitable for explosives with a low flash-point. The detonating capsule is of an inert material or lead with a slower break-up than the explosive speed of the detonating charge.
