METAL BAND EXCELLENT IN APPEARANCE GLOSS STABILITY AND HAVING METALLIC APPEARANCE AND SEAMLESS PROCESSED CAN BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal band excellent in appearance gloss stability and having metallic appearance, for obtaining a squeeze processed can having stable gloss appearance, and a seamless processed can body. SOLUTION: The metal band excellent in appearance gloss stability and having metallic appearance has a coating film containing 5% or more of a ductile metal filler in a coating drying mass ratio, having a glass transition point of 50 - 120°C and having a pencil hardness of H or more under a test condition of 50°C on the side corresponding to the outer surface of a can before can squeeze processing. The metal filler is an aluminum filler and the purity of the part excepting surface treatment of the aluminum filler is not less than 99.5%. The average particle size (D50) of the metal filler measured by a laser beem scattering particle size distribution measuring instrument is 5 - 50μm and the metal glossiness IV value thereof is not less than 100. Squeeze moldability over a plurarity of stages wherein the arrangement of inner wax and the metal filler in the coating film is optimized is enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
