摘要 <p>The present invention provides a new type of continuously variable transmission based on gyro effect; it consists of a power-input shaft, a variator and a power-output shaft driven by the variator. The variator includes a gyroscopic mechanism that has at least two freedoms, i.e. the freedoms of precession and of spin, and that is formed from a mainbody and a rotatable sub-block. The latter has a movement relative to the mainbody when it moves together with the mainbody. The present invention utilizes the inertia torque of the sub-block of the gyroscopic mechanism to generate a dynamically inertial restriction to the autorotation of the mainbody (or the revolution of the sub-block) in the system, so that continuously variable power is transmitted between the input shaft and the output shaft of the planetary system, and a stepless speed change is achieved. With advantages of simple construction, high efficiency, excellent reliability and auto-adaptation, the present device may have extensive applications.</p>
