<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display device which is provided with reflectors which have reflecting characteristics which are uniform and have satisfactory light scattering properties without increasing the number of manufacturing processes. <P>SOLUTION: The reflection type liquid crystal display device which has a pair of substrates and a liquid crystal layer which is provided between the pair of the substrates and which performs display by using the reflected light of the light which is made incident on a display surface includes a semiconductor layer, a gate insulating film and a gate electrode which are successively provided on the substrate of one side of the pair of the substrates; a first insulator film which is provided on the substrate, the semiconductor layer, the gate insulating film and the gate electrode and has an irregular pattern part and a contact hole; a source electrode which is provided on the first insulator film so as to be communicated to the semiconductor layer through the contact hole of the first insulator film; a second insulator film which is provided on the first insulator film while covering the source electrode and whose thickness is thinner than that of the first insulator film; a pixel electrode which is provided on the second insulator film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
