<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce adverse effects due to static electricity induced on a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device a lower bezel 14a has a protrusion 14c. The protrusion 14c goes through lead wiring 36, coated with insulating films 37a, 37b and connected to a common electrode 25, at a perforated part 37c. The lead wiring 36 is exposed at the perforated part 37c. Thereby static electricity accumulated on the lower bezel 14a is discharged to the exposed lead wiring 36 at the perforated part 37c via the protrusion 14c and is led to the common electrode 25 connected to the lead wiring 36. As a result, it is avoided that the liquid crystal display device avoids the adverse effect due to static electricity. Furthermore, because a solder joint process necessary in a conventional method is not needed anymore, costs are reduced as a whole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
