PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve number of rewritable times by suppressing deterioration of a recording thin film in carrying out recursive recording of the similar recorded information on a rewritable phase-change optical disk. SOLUTION: An optical information record apparatus records an information signal by irradiating a rewritable information recording medium 1 of the sector structure with a light beam. The apparatus is equipped with a VFO (variable frequency oscillator)-generating means 2005, which generates a VFO signal 65 which is a reference synchronizing signal for taking timing in data demodulation; a primary delay means 70, which changes the length of an interval of the VFO signal at random; a modulation circuit 7a to modulate information signal in a data signal to be recorded on a recording medium following the VFO signal; a dummy signal-initiating means 2007 appending a dummy data signal 67 at the rear end of the data signal for inhibiting deterioration of the data signal; and a second delay means 73, which changes at random the starting position of the VFO signal.
