摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the rotation of a magnetic disk highly accurate and to easily make a magnetic disk drive thin regarding a spindle structure of the magnetic disk drive. SOLUTION: A spindle for rotatingly supporting a magnetic disk has a fixed shaft with both edges fixed, which holds a bearing at an outer circumferential surface and is provided erectly on a base; a spindle hub wherein a holding part for positioning the magnetic disk is formed at a lower part of the outer circumferential surface, a housing part for housing the bearing is formed inside the holding part projectingly toward the base, a rotary driving body consisting of a rotor and a starter is provided between the lower end surface of the housing and the base so as to rotate around the fixed shaft, and a screw fixing part is formed at the inner diameter of the housing; and a clamp member connected to the fixing part with a single screw with a center hole going through the fixed shaft formed.
