PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an apparatus for manufacturing a form plate of a type that the sure protection of the optical elements of a stamp image forming apparatus is possible at a slight cost. SOLUTION: The apparatus consists of a ray source which generates at least one stamp image forming ray and is directed to a material to be formed with the stamp image, a device which positions the ray source relatively and in parallel to the surface of the material, and a shutter which shields rays by being positioned between the ray source and the material in the case the stamp image is not formed. The shutter can be positioned by the action of the elements acting in forming the stamp image. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
