PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which alleviates physical burden on users and executes air conditioning control which the users can feel that air conditioning is taking effect. SOLUTION: An indoor unit 1 is provided with a control part 11 and a memory part 12. The memory part 12 is constituted by DRAM or FROM and memorizes a reference valueΔT to be the reference for temperature control. The control part 11 determines a target temperature T<SB>d</SB>based on an indoor temperature T<SB>i</SB>, an outside air temperature T<SB>o</SB>and a set temperature T<SB>s</SB>. Based on the target temperature T<SB>d</SB>, air conditioning control is executed by increasing / decreasing the rotational frequency of a compressor so that a difference between the outside air temperature T<SB>o</SB>and the indoor temperature T<SB>i</SB>becomesΔT<SB>min</SB>toΔT<SB>max</SB>.
