PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olefinic copolymer having excellent elasticity recovery, impact absorption and transparency and proper elasticity and effectively usable as e.g. a material for films and sheets. SOLUTION: This olefinic copolymer has ethylene-based recurring units and cyclic olefine-based recurring units, wherein the copolymer has (1) 80-99.9 mol% olefinic recurring unit content, (2) 0.01-20 dl/g intrinsic viscosity [η], (3) <30°C glass-transition temperature and (4) <2,000 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>tensile elasticity modulus.
