PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a luminaire control device for a man conveyor realizing energy-saving by reducing illuminance at the time of no passenger and prolonging a life of a lamp by light-reducing the illuminance. SOLUTION: The luminaire control device for a man conveyor is provided with various kinds of luminaires 2, 3 installed on the man conveyor 1 and a building side luminaire for illuminating the man conveyor 1; a passenger detection device 4 provided on a man conveyor getting on/off port and detecting a user of the man conveyor 1; and a control device 10 for activating the man conveyor 1 by a user existence signal from the passenger detection device 4 and for stopping the man conveyor 1 when the no user signal from the passenger detection device 4 continues for a constant period of time. The control device 10 reduces the illuminance of the luminaires 2, 3 when the no user state further continues for a constant period of time, activates the man conveyor and increases the illuminance of the luminaires 2, 3 when the passenger detection device 4 detects the user existence signal.
