METHOD OF EXAMINING ALLERGIC DISEASE AND DRUG FOR TREATING THE SAME

Using the differential display method, attempts are made to search for a gene showing a difference in its expression in eosinophils collected in the worsening state of a patient with atopic dermatitis and those collected in the remission state. As a result, a gene NOR-1 (MINOR) showing significantly increased expression in eosinophils of a patient in the remission state accompanied by a decrease in eosinophils is successfully identified. It is found out that this gene is usable in examining an allergic disease and screening a candidate compound for a remedy therefor.
