<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a calculation quantity in image processing; to process an image by an all purpose computer; and to easily detect a boundary part for reducing a different between two colors without having little influence of noise. <P>SOLUTION: Colors of respective picture elements of a color image are plotted on a color histogram space. Frequency information of the respective colors appearing in the color image is imparted to respective points plotted on the color histogram space, and the frequency information on the colors in the color image and its position information are simultaneously acquired by making a frequency image of substituting the colors in the color image with the frequency information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
