AIR BAG DEVICE FOR FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for a front passenger seat that can suitably develop and inflate an air bag.

SOLUTION: This air bag device M for the front passenger seat is provided with the air bag 40, an inflator of a pyro type and long mass flow type, a retainer 17, a case 24 and an air bag cover 32. The cover 32 is provided with a door part 33 opened rupturing a surrounding rupture predetermined part 35 to allow the projection of the air bag 40 when inflated. The retainer is provided with a base part 18 and a guide wall part 21. The guide wall part 21 extends upward from the base part 18 to cover gas discharge ports 13 so that an inflating gas G can be guided to the air bag cover 32 side between the guide wall part 21 and an end side outer peripheral surface 12b provided with the gas discharge ports 13 of the inflator.
