PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record metadata in the same recording medium as that of related material, without causing a risk of deteriorating the related material. SOLUTION: In the recording medium of data material having a data-reproducing order, the data material recorded in the recording medium in the data-reproducing order is related to a dummy material recorded in the different part of the recording medium, and the metadata for identifying the data material is encoded as a watermark to the dummy data material.
