PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corona discharge device which uses a needlelike electrode and to realize both reduction of its manufacturing cost and improvement of the durability of the electrode. SOLUTION: The corona discharge device which has a metal electrode having a plurality of needlelike projections arranged linearly at specified intervals (p) and faces an electrostatically charged body to charge it by corona discharge is characterized in that the surface of the metal electrode having the needlelike projections is plated with a conductive material.
