PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a degree of freedom of a position where a connecter of an ink cartridge is to be provided by surely maintaining connection of the connecter section of the ink cartridge with a connecter of a recorder. SOLUTION: There is disclosed the ink cartridge 210 which supplies ink to the recorder by being loaded to the recorder. The ink cartridge 210 comprises an ink cartridge body 220 for containing ink therein, an ink supply section 240 having an ink supply hole 242 placed near a first sidewall 224 intersecting the bottom face 222 of the ink cartridge body 220, an information memory section 260 having connecter section 262 provided to a second sidewall 224 intersecting the bottom face 222 and opposing to the first sidewall 224, and a positioning section 280 extended from the wall 226 for positioning the ink cartridge 210 to the recorder when the ink cartridge 210 is loaded to the recorder.
