PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner by which a cyclone dust collecting device and a dust pocket type dust collecting device are selectively arranged for usage in response to a cleaning space by sharing one suction brush. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: the one suction brush having a suction port brought into contact with the floor surface to be cleaned, and an air generating device for generating a suction force at the suction port; an intake passage whose one end is connected to the vacuum generating device in the suction brush; and a dust collecting device which is arranged to be connected to the other end of the intake passage, and separates and recovers dust contained in the air flowing-in along the intake passage.
