PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal composite tube with an oxidized film in which caulking resistance and carburization resistance are further imparted to a metal composite tube with a multilayer structure of two or more layers in which an overlaying layer is formed at least on the inside face of the tube base material consisting of a refractory metal by cladding by welding, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: The overlaying layer 3 is formed on the inner circumferential face 10 and/or outer circumferential face 11 of the tube base material 2 consisting of a refractory metal by cladding by welding to form a metal composite tube 4 with a multilayer structure consisting of the tube base material 2 and the overlaying layer 3. Further, an oxidized film 5 having a layer thickness of≥5μm is formed on the main surface of the overlaying layer 3 of the metal composite tube 4 by thermal oxidation treatment.
