PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pump installation capable of dispensing with a fixed flow rate valve on a pump discharge side and feeding water sucked from a water supply main pipe into a water tank positioned in a high place. SOLUTION: This pump installation is provided with a pump 1 whose suction opening is connected with the water supply main pipe 6 through a water supply pipe 7 and a pumping pipe 10 connected with a discharge port of the pump 1 to feed water into the water tank positioned in the high place. The pump installation has an electric motor 2 for driving the pump 1, a variable speed means 3 for driving the electric motor 2 by changing its speed, and a control means for giving a command of number of revolutions of the pump to the variable speed means 3 so that flow rate of the pump 1 becomes determined flow rate.
