PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand drying device for preventing water from scattering to the outer part of a processing space. SOLUTION: The device includes a processing space 3 having a slot 36 opened outward for insertion of hand. An actuating airflow generated by a high pressure air generating part 1 is blown to the hands inserted into the processing space 3, and then, water stuck to the hands is blown away by the kinetic energy of the actuating airflow. The processing space 3 is constituted as a space in a front and rear direction, having the slot 36 in the front part. A water receiving part 2 is arranged below the space 3. The actuating airflow is blown out downward to the processing space 3 from an upper part toward the depth side, having a blow-out angle of 5-30 degrees. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
