PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide eustoma excellent in keeping quality of a flower which solves problems, such as being inferior to productivity, since a cost for controlling an external condition is high, there is a limit for obtaining the desired effect and a seed can not be obtained from a plant of triploid or male sterility. SOLUTION: Eustoma variety "Himemidori I" is used as a pollen parent, eustoma variety "Hohoemi I" is crossed as a female parent and a eustoma having variant pistil is selected. Thus, under natural condition, stigma does not open substantially. Therefore, since there is almost no capabilities of being pollinated, keeping quality of flower carries out breeding of the good eustoma. Further, this eustoma is self-pollinated artificially. Or, this eustoma and a eustoma which does not have variant pistil or another eustoma which has variant pistil are crossed to obtain a seed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
