<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and system for printing images including photographic images for directly connecting a digital camera to a printing device, and for excluding a personal computer from the printing system, and for miniaturizing the system to simplify the printing operation of the photographic images. <P>SOLUTION: This printer device 15 is directly connected to a digital camera 1 so that images for a printer operation for print processing can be displayed by using a view finder 4 at the digital camera side. Also, photographic images are displayed, and not only a format but also the photographic images to be printed on the format are selected, and the print processing is executed according to the selection. Thus, it is not necessary to configure any display part at the printer device 15, and it is possible to omit the connection of a personal computer or the like.
