<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power converter that is small in size and high in reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter comprises: a switching element 2 that converts power by switching; a drive circuit 4 that drives the switching element; a smoothing capacitor 8 that suppresses a fluctuation in the voltage of a DC power source that feeds power to the switching element 2; and a control circuit 5 that outputs a control signal to the drive circuit 4 and controls the switching element 2. The power converter also comprises a smoothing capacitor substrate 20 that mounts the smoothing capacitor 8 with metal as a base substrate between an insulating board that mounts the switching element 2 and a drive control circuit board 10 that mounts the drive circuit 4 and the control circuit 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
