<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demultiplexer and a multiplexer improved of the usability in reproducing downloaded content while retaining the effectiveness in reproducing and real time recording of the download content. <P>SOLUTION: The demultiplexer 200 comprises a data acquiring unit 210 for acquiring MP4 file data 100, a decoding unit 213 for decoding the MP4 file data 100 acquired by the data acquiring unit 210 after demultiplexing the data in every pair of moov (movie vox) 110 and mdat (media data vox) 110, and a pair of moof (movie fragment vox) 130 and mdat 140, a content time period deciding unit 211a for deciding total content time period based on the information of the total content time period included in the moov 110 of the MP4 file data 100 acquired by the data acquiring unit 210, and a reproducing unit 214 for displaying the total contents time period decided by the contents time period deciding unit 211a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
