<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process and an apparatus for preparing dried Mozuku seaweed (Nemacystus decipiens) which realizes reduced drying cost by efficiently and uniformly drying raw Mozuku seaweed while leaving a fucoidan component and a mineral component behind. <P>SOLUTION: In the process, slime at the surface of raw Mozuku seaweed M2 used as a raw material is removed through washing, moisture left on the surface of the raw Mozuku seaweed M3 is removed through spin drying, and the spin-dried raw Mozuku seaweed M4 is spread on upper surface of a drying tray, placed inside a dryer 40 and hot-air dried at 50-80°C to obtain the dried Mozuku seaweed M5. Drying time can be further shortened by freezing the spin-dried Mozuku seaweed M4 before drying this. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
