<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal dosimeter as a radiation measuring apparatus precisely calculating a dose, depending on the type of incident radiation. <P>SOLUTION: A first measuring unit 6 measures electromagnetic waves (γ-rays and x-rays) andβ-rays. A second measuring unit 8 measures only theγ-rays. An operating part 40 determines the type of the incident radiation, based on three integrals obtained by step-by-step wave height discrimination by the first measuring unit 6 and an integrated value obtained by the second measuring unit 8, and calculates a dose based on it. Discrimination of the type of the radiation and energy estimation of electromagnetic waves are performed from mutual ratio of each integrated value. Specifically, the first measuring unit 6 and the second measuring unit 8 are held in an enclosure provided with an incident window, on which electromagnetic waves andβ-rays are incident.
