PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional terminal device wherein the manual setting of equipment-setting information is often mistaken and is troublesome. SOLUTION: This information processing system has a terminal device and a server device. The terminal device has: a connection detection part detecting that the terminal device itself is connected to a network; an equipment-setting information reception part requesting, to the server device identified by a previously stored server device identifier, the equipment setting-information that is information set in the terminal device, and receiving the equipment-setting information from the server device; and an equipment-setting information accumulation part accumulating the received equipment-setting information. The server device has an equipment-setting information transmission part transmitting the previously stored equipment-setting information to the terminal device according to the request of the terminal device. By the information processing system, the equipment-setting information can be automatically set into the terminal device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
