PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail transmitting device and method capable of forming a mail on a transmitting side with a proper sentence capacity from an e-mail receiver's position, and ensuring the communication. SOLUTION: The data amount receivable by a designation of mail is stored, and the e-mail to be transmitted is divided based on the data amount. When a transmitting mail is edited, the dividing position is controlled to be displayed on a display part with the content of the e-mail under editing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
