PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has excellent wear resistance in repeated and is less deteriorated in sensitivity after the repeated use. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is provided with at least a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer on a conductive support. The charge transfer layer is coated by a coating liquid for the charge transfer layer consisting of a solvent mixture composed of tetrahydrofuran, cyclohexanone, and saturated aliphatic cyclic ketones, such as cyclobutanone, cyclohexanone, and cyclopentanone, as a coating solvent. The concentration of the residual saturated aliphatic cyclic ketones to the amount of the solid content in the photosensitive layers consisting of the charge generating layer and charge transfer layer of the completed electrophotographic photoreceptor is 3,000 to 50,000 ppm.
