PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallocene compound which enables the production of an olefin polymer having high stereoregularity in high polymerization activity, to provide a method for producing the olefin polymer in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst containing the same, and to provide the olefin polymer obtained by the production method. SOLUTION: This metallocene compound represented by the formula : YKLMX2(M is titanium atom, zirconium atom or hafnium atom; K and L are each independently a condensed ring coordinated on M, namely a condensed ring of a cyclopentadienyl ring with a five-membered ring, a condensed ring of a cyclopentadienyl ring with a six-membered ring or a condensed ring of a cyclopentadienyl ring with a seven-membered ring; Y is a cross-linking group for cross-linking K to L; X is a bonding group for bonding to M; K and L certainly have a heterogeneous aromatic group at either one of each 2-position, each 4-position and each 5-position).
