摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a lithium/manganese double oxide, wherein the reaction can be conducted without taking a form of an aqueous solution regarded as necessary in the reaction of manganeseγ-oxyhydroxide with lithium hydroxide in a conventional manufacturing process for lithium adsorbent; an excessively large amount of lithium hydroxide or a solid-liquid separation operation is not necessary; and the scale-up is possible. SOLUTION: A lithium/manganese double oxide having a composition represented by LiMnO<SB>2</SB>is prepared by thermally reacting manganeseγ-oxyhydroxide and/or dimanganese trioxide with lithium hydroxide hydrate at 100-140°C in a pressure container; or a lithium/manganese double oxide having a composition represented by Li<SB>2</SB>Mn<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>is prepared by thermally reacting manganeseγ-oxyhydroxide and/or dimanganese trioxide with lithium hydroxide hydrate at 100-140°C in a pressure container and baking the resultant LiMnO<SB>2</SB>at 400°C or higher in the presence of oxygen.
