PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve use efficiency, of a device that temporarily feeds paper sheets such as bills and collects the paper sheets into a reject containing section when the fed paper sheets have a failure by quickly ejecting after collecting the collected sheets. SOLUTION: The bills 11 are temporarily fed onto a table 40 and ejected outside of a bill delivery port 93 when the fed papers do not have a failure or they are collected inside a reject containing tray 126 when they have a failure. When bills 11 are collected inside the reject containing tray 126, bill feeding operations are repeated afterwards in succession. The table 40 can rotate between a receiving position and an ejecting position. The bills are ejected into the bill delivery port 93 and the reject conveyance is performed by driving carry-out belts 62, 63 in the reverse direction with the table placed in the ejecting position.
