PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium housing for preventing a medium loaded on a medium loading face of a stage from collapsing outside the medium housing. SOLUTION: A hopper part 11 is equipped with a movable stage 14 positioned at a medium loading position when a medium 13 is loaded. When the stage 14 is positioned at the medium loading position, a projection part is formed on a medium loading face 14a of the stage 14. The projection part is formed by protruding a projection part 20 from the medium loading face 14a of the stage 14, when the stage 14 is positioned at the medium loading position.
