PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-tube type reactor extending the life of a catalyst filled in a reaction tube provided in the reactor, preventing reduction of yield of a desired product and stably manufacturing it in a high yield over a long period of time. SOLUTION: In the multi-tube type reactor having a plurality of reaction tubes filled with a catalyst and a shell in which these reaction tubes are provided and into which a heating medium flowing in the outside of the reaction tubes is introduced, the reaction tube is selected from a tube body in which a nominal outer diameter and a nominal wall thickness are the same, a tolerance of the outer diameter is±0.62% and a tolerance of the wall thickness is +19% to -0%, particularly preferably the tube body in which the tolerance of the outer diameter is±0.56% and the tolerance of the wall thickness is +17% to -0%.
