PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface sheet for an absorbent article which can quickly transfer a liquid such as menstrual blood or urine to an absorbor, is soft, and is hard to generate twisting or wrinkles. SOLUTION: For this surface sheet 10 for the absorbent article, a first fiber layer 1 arranged on the skin side and a second fiber layer 2 arranged on the absorbor side are laminated, and are partially bonded at a bonding part 3 having a specified pattern. For the first fiber layer 1, parts other than the bonding part 3 protrude to the skin side. The second fiber layer 2 comprises a fiber aggregate containing a heat-shrinkable fiber, and has a heat-shrunk part 5 which has been heat-shrunk, and a highly densified part 6 wherein heat-shrinkage is suppressed.
