PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new strain containing a bitter component in its fruit body on harvesting it in less than an extent of feeling almost no bitter taste on serving it as a food even on culturing it in a medium for making it as having a highly bitter taste. SOLUTION: This specific new strain of Lyophyllum ulmarium exhibits the bitterness of its fruit body which is obtained by using at least 1 kind of the medium for making it as having a highly bitter taste, less than that of 0.000008 M quinine sulfate.
