PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fitting cultured scallops to a rope surely over a long period and an implement for fitting the cultured scallops. SOLUTION: The method for fitting the cultured scallops includes a process in which the fitting implement 2 having a taking-out prevention insertion part 2b in one end part of a cylindrical shaft part 2a formed from a resin etc., and a taking-out prevention part 2f in the other end part of the shaft part is passed through the rope 1 perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction thereof, the taking-out insertion part of one end part of the fitting implement and the taking-out prevention part of the other end part are protruded from the periphery of the rope, one or two scallops are passed through a through hole 3b, the ear part 3a of the scallop 3, and fitted between the taking-out insertion part or one of the taking-out prevention parts and the rope, and a stopper piece 4 is placed between the taking-out prevention insertion part on the side not to fit the scallop of the fitting implement or the taking-out prevention part and the rope.
