PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for determining whether a patient having a disease treated through imatinib administration such as CML (Current Model Logic) is sensitive to imatinib, i.e. to predict whether the administration of the patient with the imatinib is effective for treating the disease. SOLUTION: Expression levels of two or more genes selected from among 77 specific genes in a cell specimen isolated from a living body are determined and are compared with those of the selected genes in subjects with and without sensitivity to imatinib, its derivatives or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof.
